Each journey is designed as an exceptional experience, allowing our passengers to explore these extreme territories while understanding their fragility. By sharing our environmental commitments, we give them the opportunity to become ambassadors for these unique regions in turn.
Polarfront crew members work alongside us to support Latitude Blanche’s environmental commitments. In their daily work, they apply the various charters and are encouraged to propose improvements, regardless of their role on board.
While international and local regulations provide a solid foundation, our ambition is to go further: to innovate, anticipate, and push beyond industry standards in order to offer journeys that are in harmony with the pristine regions we travel through.
It is in this spirit that, in 2024, we completely replaced Polarfront’s propulsion and power generation systems with state-of-the-art technologies, perfectly suited for navigation in polar regions. This major refit halved its energy consumption and further reduced its emissions, making Polarfront the most eco-responsible vessel in its category.
RESPONSIBLY SOURCED PRODUCERS
Latitude Blanche works with local French suppliers and prioritizes partnerships with small, responsible producers.
We are committed to promoting short supply chains and carefully select our producers as part of a responsible approach focused on product quality.
SOCIAL STANDARDS
We want all our employees—whether land-based or seafaring—to benefit from the best possible social protections (healthcare, disability and life insurance, pensions, and unemployment insurance).
Our choice of the French flag and the vessel’s registration in a mainland French port is directly linked to this commitment. As a result, French labor law applies on board, unlike on vessels sailing under flags of convenience.
