–OUR PRIORITY: YOUR SAFETY
Our background as safety specialists onboard ships includes managing positions on land, gave us the ability to be well prepared to any risks on land and afloat.
The safety of our passengers and our crew as well as the ship itself is our priority. We have a strict risk prevention policy of all safety equipment.
We are continuously working to develop and improve safety culture onboard through regular training.

ACTING FOR ENVIRONMENT

Polar zones are protected by international and local regulations mandatory for all shipping companies. All cruise companies must respect them.
We went and are going further!
We affirmed our commitment to guidelines regarding regulations for lower energy consumption, waste reduction, etc.
For example, we are:
Using low sulfur diesel
Sorting our waste
Our additional measures we decided to take are:
Optimize the routes we take to low our consumption
Optimize our engine speed / propeller pitch curve for lower fuel consumption
Reduce our energy consumption (LED lighting, frequency variators on electric motors, etc.)

Concerning our waste, we are limitating packaging from the start, using eco-labeled packaging and not throwing our waste to the sea …
We reduce our waste production using economic and biodegradable packaged products
To respect flora and fauna of these remote regions, we :
Use new generation engines for zodiacs
Organize fuel-free activities (like pedalboat)
In addition, we created a booklet, searchable from each cabin on board, to heighten awareness of our passengers concerning protection of the planet.
We are also committed not to use foods from the WWF Red List.
PUTING HUMAN AT THE VERY CENTER
TOLERANCE AND EQUALITY
With the French motto « liberty, equality, fraternity » at heart, we have a non-discriminating policy on all fronts and promote diversity onboard as well as on land, both for passengers and crew.
All equal, all different, all welcome!
WORKING CONDITIONS
Our crew are employed under French working regulations, including all social guarantees (health, pension, unemployment rate…).
WORKING WITH SCIENCE
At our level, we are working hand in hand with institutions to drive science forward and serve ecological causes.

A METEOROLOGICAL STATION
Polarfront is a floating meteoroligical station.
While exploring the Arctic Circle, our crew collects data for the meteorological station onboard..
The station’s data helps predict weather, and plays an important part in climatological research.
The Nox organization raises funds to help companies finance the acquisition and mastery of new green technologies in order to reduce air pollution.
